Education
- B.A. Latin American Studies, Brown University
- Doctor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School
- Internship/Residency (Surgery/Orthopaedic Surgery) Univ. of Colorado Affiliated Hospitals, Denver, CO
- Fellowship, (Pediatric Orthopaedics) Children’s Hospital & Health Center San Diego
Research Interests
My primary research interests are in biomechanics, particularly the application of quantitative movement analysis technologies. I have focused on the utilization of kinematics, kinetics, dynamic EMG, pedobarography, and energetics in clinical decision making, outcomes assessment, and biomechanical modeling.
- Multi-Center: Investigator in the CP Hip Outcomes Project (CHOP) which aims to investigate the health-related quality of life outcomes of hip interventions for children with severe cerebral palsy using a prospective longitudinal comparative cohort design. It is an international multi-centre study involving investigators in orthopaedic surgery, developmental pediatrics, and outcome measurement.
- Single Center: Muscle Strength and Function following SEMLS Surgery in children with Cerebral Palsy
- Non-conventional Genomic Risk Factors of Cerebral Palsy associated with Prematurity
- Radiographic Assessment of Bone Age in Children with Cerebral Palsy
- Management of Severe Equinus Deformity in Children with Cerebral Palsy
- Quantitative Assessment of Joint Contribution to Limb Shortening in Children with Cerebral Palsy
- Validity, Reliability, and Efficiency of Software Enhanced Acquisition of the Edinburgh Visual Gait Score
- The role of the triceps surae during gait in boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy: The impact of tendo-achilles lengthening’s
- Cerebral Palsy Hip Outcomes Project – International Multi-centre Study
- Radiographic, Kinematic, and Kinetic Analysis of Foot Structure and Function in Children with Persistent Idiopathic Toe Walking (ITW)
